Strong Nutrition and hydration improve overall skin integrity and health. Wound care based on the best standards of practice is essential. Refresh your staff on the needs of a compromised resident including interventions to reduce the likelihood of developing a wound, and if present, contribute to progressive healing.
Objectives:
- Learn how to adequately screen for pressure ulcer (injury risk)
- Assess nutritional need related to pressure ulcer (injury) prevention and treatment
- Identify the importance of following current standards of practice related to the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers (injuries)
