Skin and Wound Management Module 3: Wound Care – F686 – Licensed Staff

This program was developed utilizing the Federal regulatory tag F686 and focuses on assessment skills and key areas that are critical in reducing the risk of skin breakdown. Best practices are universal in ensuring the quality of care for our elderly residents and this program was developed for all levels of care.

Objectives:


• Identify the difference between a pressure ulcer (injury), arterial ulcer and a diabetic ulcer
• Describe the types of interventions and treatments that would be appropriate for different types of wounds
• Identify modifiable risks and appropriate techniques to reducing/eliminating such risks


Attendees will be awarded 1.0 ANCC contact hours for completing the course/webinar.
