There are many misconceptions about long-term care. It is truly very different from living at home even as much as we try to normalize the lives of residents. As providers, we strive to ease that transition and make residents comfortable. This is why it is important to develop risk-management protocols that include a baseline assessment of all operating systems with a focus on quality and safety. Senior management of the organization must support risk-management efforts through consistent awareness and support. Ownership by every single employee is the key. This program was developed to assist you in developing risk management protocols while maintaining a comfortable environment for your residents and staff.
Objectives:
- Identify what risks we face in ALF communities.
- Identify the risk areas we can change.
- Identify risk areas we may not be able to change.
Attendees will be awarded 1.00 ANCC contact hours for completing the course/webinar.
