In June, 2017 CMS issues a memorandum to reduce risk Legionella risk in SNFs. One component includes the facility requirement to develop and adhere to protocols inhibit microbial growth in water systems. This 1.0 ANCC approved continuing education session focuses on defining Legionnaire’s Disease, transmission, identifying and treating symptoms and preventive steps to reduce risk for an outbreak.
Attendees will be awarded 1.0 ANCC contact hours for completing the course/webinar.
